Route 66 - California

A couple of years ago 2024, I have been interested in the Mother Road - Route 66.

In March 2026, my mom and I went on a road trip to California for Route 66.

We started in Needles, CA.

That night we went to Wagon Wheel Restaurant for dinner on Route 66 - 2420 Needles Hwy. If you have the Route 66 passport you can go there or Needles Museum - 929 Front St. Where the museum is used to be a JC Penny store before 1955. For the stamp to put in your passport.

Next area we stopped at was Goffs. The building that is there is Goffs Schoolhouse - 37198 Lanfair Road, G-15. You can get a stamp there for your passport. It was closed when we were there to see inside.

Next, we went to Amboy to see Roy’s Motel and Cafe.

For lunch we ate at Ludlow Cafe.  Very good food.

Next town was Barstow. One of the things we saw was Casa del Desierto Harvey House. It was a train stain and a restaurant.

Next was Daggett seeing the Stone Hotel.

We stayed in Victorville for the night and meet up with my uncle.  Here is where we stayed at New Corral Motel.

Are next towns being San Bernardino and Rialto.  We saw the Wigwam Motel Village #7.

We drove through Rancho Cucamonga and saw Richfield Service Station.

We dove through some more towns and skipped some towns, but we ended in the San Monica Pier. Here is me with the end of the trail sign.

Now I have done California, Arizona and New Mexico.  More to come.  If you want some of other pictures of signs I will be putting them up on the website. Touring America's Parks with Shayne

The library and museum is located in Simi Valley, CA. You drive up a hill to the top, beautiful views.  Ronald Reagan was the 40th President from Jan. 1981 to Jan. 1989. The First Lady was Nancy Reagan. He was a football player and was a lifeguard. But most of all you would know him has an actor too. Here is a copy of the Oval Office at the White House. Nancy Reagan Here is Air Force One that he used during his terms. You can go in it to see what it looked like. When they were getting feed it was always on china plates that Nancy picked out. Also, there was always a cake on board just in case it was somebody’s birthday or for anything to celebrate, Reagan idea. Here were his limousine and helicopter. Here is a piece of the Berlin Wall that he helps get it taken down. "I know in my heart that man...
