Lunch with Friends

In the last few days, I got to have lunch with two of my best friends Shelia and Elaine. On 5/6/2026, I meet up with Shelia at Shake Shack for lunch.  I had a hamburger and fries and soda.  It was good.  We talked about work and things that are coming up in our lives.  I know I see her at work every time, but it is good to hang out with her.  We have known each other for 15 years so far.  More years to come. On 5/7/2026, I meet up with Elaine at Beyond Bread.  I had a good turkey and avocado sandwich.  It was good.  I haven't seen her in a couple months because she was going to school.  Now she done and home I hope to see her more.  I have known her since freshman year high school, over 30 years.  A lot more years to come.

Route 66 - California

A couple of years ago 2024, I have been interested in the Mother Road - Route 66. In March 2026, my mom and I went on a road trip to California for Route 66. We started in Needles, CA. That night we went to Wagon Wheel Restaurant for dinner on Route 66 - 2420 Needles Hwy. If you have the Route 66 passport you can go there or Needles Museum - 929 Front St. Where the museum is used to be a JC Penny store before 1955. For the stamp to put in your passport. Next area we stopped at was Goffs. The building that is there is Goffs Schoolhouse - 37198 Lanfair Road, G-15. You can get a stamp there for your passport. It was closed when we were there to see inside. Next, we went to Amboy to see Roy’s Motel and Cafe. For lunch we ate at Ludlow Cafe.  Very good food. Next town was Barstow. One of the things we saw was Casa del Desierto Harvey House. It was a train stain and a restaurant. Next was Daggett seeing the Stone Hotel. We stayed in Victorville for the night and meet up with my unc...

Presidential Library and Museum in California

In March 2026, my mom and I went to two Presidential Library and Museums in California. They were for Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon. 3/25/2026 The first President was Ronald Reagan. The library and museum is located in Simi Valley, CA. You drive up a hill to the top, beautiful views.  Ronald Reagan was the 40th President from Jan. 1981 to Jan. 1989. The First Lady was Nancy Reagan. He was a football player and was a lifeguard. But most of all you would know him has an actor too. Here is a copy of the Oval Office at the White House. Nancy Reagan Here is Air Force One that he used during his terms. You can go in it to see what it looked like. When they were getting feed it was always on china plates that Nancy picked out. Also, there was always a cake on board just in case it was somebody’s birthday or for anything to celebrate, Reagan idea. Here were his limousine and helicopter. Here is a piece of the Berlin Wall that he helps get it taken down. "I know in my heart that man...

Parmalee and Lady A in Concert

On 3/20/2026, my mom and I met up with one of my friends from work Kim and with her mom.  We met up at the Rillito Racetrack.  My mom and me got there early to get a good spot and hung around for the other performances.  The main bands started after 6:00 pm. This first group for the night was Parmalee.  I didn't recognize the name of the group, but I have heard some of their songs before.  On one of the songs they singed was based off a true story that happened to them at a concert.  It was great music. The main group of the night was Lady A.  Group of one girl and two guys.  The last time we saw them was in Vegas about 6 years ago before everything was shut down.  They singed all my favorite songs.  I was on my feet dancing the whole time and singing along.  It was a lot of fun. Kim and I Mom and I Thank you for hanging out with us Kim.  Had a great time.
